Our Story
AKL Inspection Authority was founded in 2018 by Alaina Kear Lloyd, a seasoned technical leader with over a decade of experience in the oil and gas industry. After earning her SAQCC/IPE certification and gaining international exposure, Alaina returned to South Africa with a clear mission – to elevate the standards of fabrication and inspection through uncompromising quality and ethical leadership.
AKL was born out of a growing need, an industry facing declining accountability, poor supervision, and inconsistent results. Alaina saw the opportunity to build something different, a company clients could trust, depend on and respect. Today, AKL stands as a SANAS Approved Inspection Authority, delivering precision, compliance, and strategic insight across every project.
